The Association promotes the deeper values of these economic activities within the monasteries.
Monasteries are places where monks and nuns live and work, often in cooperation with others, with the intention of giving form to evangelical values. Even though they are dependent on the market economy, and even though they are part of the business world, their paid labors, while being necessary and important, are not the center of their monastic way of life. Their work is always at the service of the human person. In this way, monastic communities seek to give their economy a soul.
At the production level, they value the quality of their products more than the quantity. They also have a special concern for the environment.
Their approach to publicity and advertising is moderate and marked by integrity.
