Tilburg (NL) : Koningshoeven's Monastery Store Since 2004, Koningshoeven Abbey has had a spacious, well-organised, and completely renovated Monastery Store which, along with La Trappes's Tasting Room, promotes ans sells their own Trappist Beer. The first thing that catches your eye is the display of the entire range of "La trappe" beers and all the many ways in which they are packaged - this comprises the major part of the sales in the Monastery Store. The display containing the products produced by the monks themselves is quietly beginning te become more and more important. Here is where they sell their own Spent Grain Bread, their true-to-nature sourdough bread, their butter biscuits, their chocolates and their truffles. As Monastery Store, they also offer the familiar wide assortment of all those things that can be found in any “religious store”: pictures and statues, (real) icons, candles, religious CDs, postcards and greeting cards and all kinds of devotional items. There is a spacious parking lot available for the use of those visiting the Tasting Room as well as those visiting the Monastery Store. These two places are located just a few steps apart. All items, including fresh bread, can be ordered by telephone, fax, or e-mail.
