Nasi Pani (CZ) chocolate has received authorization to use the ATP label

On December 18, 2019, the chocolates and truffles made by the Trappistine sisters of Naší Paní (Monastery of Our Lady of the Vltava, a river in the Czech Republic) were presented to the Board of Directors of the International Trappist Association (ITA). After a tasting, discussion, and vote, the sisters were awarded the right to use the ATP label (Authentic Trappist Product) for a period of five years. The sisters are very grateful for the opportunity to use this label, as well as for the friendship and attention given them by the persons who work for the ITA, with whom they have been in contact. The label not only attests to the Trappist origin of the products, but also provides a guarantee to consumers of the quality and care taken during the production process, expressing the values of a contemporary Trappist community. The chocolates and truffles made by the sisters of Naší Paní are produced according to the strict requirements of the International Trappist Association: the work and production take place entirely within the monastery; and the sisters in the community do the work themselves, without the assistance of lay persons or external personnel.

Their assortment of chocolate products...

The sisters began producing chocolates and truffles in 2017 to develop and improve their economy. They chose chocolates because this is a food that has always been appreciated by many people. Consumption of chocolate also has numerous health benefits and is good for a number of bodily organs, especially the brain and the heart.

The sisters of Naší Paní are currently producing several types of chocolate bars: extra-dark chocolate; dark chocolate with hazelnuts; dark chocolate mocha; dark chocolate with orange; milk chocolate; milk chocolate with hazelnuts; and milk chocolate mocha. All flavors are available in 150-gram bars, with some flavors also available in 250-gram bars. In due time, the sisters would like to expand their assortment.

The truffles, which are a praline made with extra-dark chocolate and liqueur, are also an exquisite product, uniting the fragrance and taste of delicious cookies (which are also produced by the sisters of Naší Paní) with the taste of chocolate and cacao, and enriched by the aroma of Tuzemák liqueur.

The packaging...

The wrappers for the chocolate bars were designed with an eye for simplicity and beauty, with the color serving to identify the taste of the product. The logo brings to mind the name of the monastery: a “T” for “Trappist,” which forms a boat atop a couple waves, representing the Vltava River, which is near the Monastery of Our Lady of the Vltavou.

From now on, the presence of the ATP logo beside the monastery's own logo will increase the value and importance of the sisters' products.
