The Trappist Rochefort 8 in 75 cl bottle is back in the spotlight!

This format par excellence during the first half of the 20th century was gradually replaced by 33 cl bottle beginning in the 1950's. In 2005, the long-awaited champagne bottle reappeared, accompanied by its big sister, the 1.5 L bottle, but only in extremely limited quantities at the end of the year. In 2014, to the great regret of consumers, production was suspended while the brewery had an automatic bottling line installed. In 2019 production was resumed and, to the delight of consumers, this format is now offered year-round. Rochefort 8 is well known to beer lovers, with it tan color, strong palate, rich fruitiness, and spicy dryness (like that of a cake) to balance the aftertaste. This beer is 9.2% ABV, based on the same recipe as the 33 cl bottle, but pleasantly surprising in this packaging with its particular release of complex aromas. The beer is brewed within the walls of the abbey, however production in 75 cl bottles is limited !
